Plasma Slow Burn
I speculate the recent PC World posting Report: Pioneer to Cease Making Plasma Panels is a harbinger of the beginning of the end for plasma display TVs.

It is uncharacteristic of this blog to publish speculations. I’m going out on a limb with this posting.
LCD displays have narrowed the gap with plasma displays. They weigh less, cost less, available in higher resolutions, have a longer life span, outselling plasma displays, and “greener” in power consumption.
I think most plasma display owners will switch to LCD technology when their plasma display slow burn finally burns out.
