Slow Vista

Stick with your XP machine. Better yet, get a Mac. The Vista user experience is slower than XP, which is slower than Mac OS X.

In every benchmark, Windows scored significantly poorer than Mac OS X, which is far more “fluid” than Microsoft’s OSes, according to Pfeiffer.

“But this isn’t a Windows versus Mac thing,” Pfeiffer said. “We wanted to see if Vista improved on some of the weak spots of previous releases. Usually, developers iron out user interface issues over time to increase [user] productivity.”

Not this time, he said. “Vista is a step back.”

    I bought a gateway desktop with vista installed and I gotta tell you. I’m not happy with it at all. It’s so slow that I really getting to the point where I want to delete it and go back to xp.

    bought a Dell system 2ghz centrino duo core.2gb ram.Vista installed.

    It’s slower than my 1.8ghz celeron laptop with 256 mb ram and xp pro installed.

    Missing out on Vista great features you say. Pfffffffft third party software works heaps better on XP.

    Vista needs some serious tweaking.
