iPhone Thoughts
I’m phone challenged. At best, phones are difficult for me to use. The cell phone is the most difficult. The culprit is the user interface. Phones interfaces vary from vendor to vendor. Seldom are key code functions the same.
I’m a consultant tramp. Today I’ll be camping out with a client. Tomorrow I’ll be camping out with another. My mind boggles when I context switch clients and try to remember how to fetch voice mail.
I watched the iPhone demo. I think it may by my salvation. Its user interface is the best I have seen for any phone system. My nirvana idea is forwarding calls from all the phone systems I use to the iPhone.
The initial pricing for AT&T iPhone service will probably be outrageous. I’ll wait for another generation and reasonable pricing. Until then I’ll remain phone challenged.
